Gulf Coast Stabilized Materials

Gulf Coast Stabilized Materials was started in 1988 by Dana Osborne, with the philosophy of providing superior service, quality products and reliable performance. Mr. Osborne sold the company in the early 90’s to the Lehigh Cement Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HeidelbergCement. In 1998, the company was brought into a joint venture with Campbell Concrete and Materials under the guidance of Lehigh Cement Company. In 2007, HeidelbergCement bought Hanson and integrated the Lehigh and Hanson businesses in North America. Under Lehigh Hanson, Gulf Coast Stabilized Materials was organized into a limited liability company in 2013. Today, Gulf Coast Stabilized Materials LLC is recognized as the largest provider for stabilized sand in the Greater Houston Area.

Campbell Concrete

In 1964, Campbell Ready Mix was established by Gene Campbell. Originally settled in the small town of Cleveland, Texas, Campbell Ready Mix started with one plant and quickly grew to one of the largest and most successful family-held businesses in Southeast Texas.

By 1996, after the purchase of additional smaller ready mix companies and plants, Campbell was running with 11 plants and 166 trucks. In early 1998, after forming a partnership with Pioneer International, Mr. Campbell sold his remaining portion to Texas-Lehigh Cement. Texas-Lehigh Cement, owners of Gulf Coast Concrete, merged the two companies together forming Campbell Concrete & Materials, L.P., becoming a leading source of concrete, aggregates and stabilized materials for the Greater Houston Area.
